Jolie ordered to gain weight for movie

Angelina Jolie has been ordered to gain weight by producers of the forthcoming Thomas Crown Affair sequel, according to a report.

Film chiefs made the demand because they do not want the actress to faint on the set of the movie - as she did when she shot her most recent action flick, Wanted.

"Ideally they want Angelina to put on two stone for the role," a source told The Mirror. "It is going to be very physically demanding, which is why they want her to carry the extra weight.

"They don't want a reprise of what happened with Wanted, where she was fainting and they had to take her costumes in. She was also slated for being too skinny to portray an action woman, and for Thomas Crown they want a convincing female lead. Hopefully, she will take them up on it - a few extra pounds wouldn't hurt her."

Jolie, who gave birth to twins earlier this month, has not yet been officially announced as the film's leading lady, but she is believed to be the top choice of producers.
